Martin Malachovský started to study opera singing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. His leading teacher was Prof. J. Hrubant. During his studies he got the opportunity to improve his vocal skills as a part time student in Italy /Perugia/ and in master classes of Maestro E. Nesterenko at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 1991 he received a 6-month scholarship from the French government at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris.
